How we work
Many of the filmmakers we collaborate with are stepping into professional color grading as their work evolves. Our job is not only to grade the image, but to remove uncertainty from the process.

We work scene-by-scene rather than shot-by-shot, always prioritizing continuity, natural skin tones, and clean color separation. Exposure, contrast, and color are shaped to respect the cinematography, lighting choices, and on-set intent.

We avoid unnecessary complexity. Technical decisions are handled on our end so clients can stay focused on the story, not the workflow. Throughout the project, communication remains structured, clear, and collaborative.

We start by listening. Every project is different, and we take time to understand where you are in the process, what kind of film you’re making, and whether you’ve worked with a colorist before.

2. Clear Workflow Selection
Based on the project, we guide you toward the most practical workflow — either working from camera originals or from a clean, flat export of the locked edit. We explain this in plain terms and help you prepare everything, so nothing feels overwhelming.

3. First Pass & Look Development
We create an initial grade that establishes the overall look, tone, and balance of the project. This first pass is a starting point — not a final statement.

4. Collaborative Feedback
Feedback is handled in a clear, organized way. We refine the grade together through structured revisions, always keeping the bigger picture and story continuity in mind.

5. Final Delivery
Once the grade is approved, we deliver the final files tailored to your needs — web, broadcast, cinema, or multiple versions. No surprises, no loose ends.

Lead Colorist
Mediabee Color Lab was founded by Ibrahim “Ilker” Er, a professional colorist with a background in global media and television studies and years of hands-on experience in cinematic color grading and finishing.

Ilker’s approach combines technical precision with a strong narrative sensibility. His work is grounded in film tradition, disciplined color science, and a deep respect for cinematography — always prioritizing naturalism, mood, and emotional clarity.
